VLC for Windows 8 is still under development right now, but VideoLAN claims that an official build should be submitted to the Store in the coming weeks.
In a blog post published a couple of days ago, Jean-Baptiste Kempf, one of the developers working on the project, explained that VLC for Windows 8 “still advances,” so the team is very close to “having something on the store.”
